Sri Lanka declared their first innings at 760 for seven, taking a healthy lead of 334 shortly, on the fourth day of the first cricket Test match against India at Motera, Ahmedabad.
In reply, Openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir gave a good start as India scored 77 in just 16 overs without loosing a wicket. Sehwag got out after tea break for 51 runs off just 67 balls shitting 7 fours. Rahul Dravid could contribute only 38 runs, he fell to Chanaka Welegedara.
Gautam Gambhir and Amit Mishra were at crease at stumps scoring 74 and 12 runs respectively.
